‘Profiles of Excellence’ honor Goodwin Challenge

Henderson Mental Health Center’s “Profiles of Excellence Gala” was recently held at the elegant Hyatt Regency Pier Sixty-Six, where more than 200 guests experienced a taste of the islands with this year’s theme, ‘Carnival — Caribbean’ style. All proceeds from this annual fundraiser benefits Henderson Mental Health Center, South Florida’s non-profit for behavioral healthcare system.

The evening honored the major donors to the Campaign Challenge through the Leo Goodwin Foundation, which was announced at last year’s event.

“We are very excited to have accomplished so much toward this million dollar challenge. This event gave us the perfect opportunity to thank many of the donors who have helped us to move closer to achieving our goal,” said Dr. Steven Ronik, Henderson Mental Health Center’s chief executive officer.

Each year, Henderson Mental Health Center provides services to more than 17,000 children and adults in South Florida. More than $100,000 was raised for this year’s gala, which will help their staff to continue to provide these essential services to those in need throughout the community.

Sponsors included: SunTrust Bank, Mary N. Porter, Jack W. Kuhn, Jr., Janssen Pharmaceutical, Seitlin & Company, and Gold Coast Magazine.
